How is Again and Again made?

Answer.
The oil is extracted from Rapeseed and refined, an anti-foaming agent is then added to the product before bottling and labelling.
Question 8.
What is an anti-foaming agent and why is it in my product?

Answer.
An anti-foaming agent is a special food grade silicon oil that prevents the oil foaming during frying. Foaming allows more oxygen from the air to come into contact with the oil, which in turn means the oil will go rancid more quickly. The anti-foaming agent therefore helps the oil last longer. Although it is added at very low levels, it is very effective.

How is the oil extracted?

Answer.
Solvent extraction is used by using solvent to dissolve the oil. The solvent is then removed, leaving the oil only.

What is the smoke point / flash point of Again and Again?

Answer.
Smoke point 200ºc, Flash point - 325ºc.
Question 11.
What are saturates / monounsaturates / polyunsaturates / trans fat?

Answer.
Chemically these are all made up differently and therefore act differently in the body.

- Intake of saturates in general should be minimised.

- High levels of monosaturates are generally thought to be beneficial.

- Reasonably high levels of polyunsaturates are generally thought to be beneficial.

- Trans fats overall have a similar effect to saturates, so should therefore be minimised where possible.

Why is my oil cloudy? What should I do?

Answer.
The natural properties of some oils mean that they will become cloudy when cold. This will obviously be worse in the winter months. These are safe to consume when cloudy. However, the cloudiness can be rectified by placing the bottle in a warm area or by standing the bottle in some warm water.

How should I store Again and Again?

Answer.
In general oils should be stored in a cool dark place. It is not necessary to put oils in the fridge. Putting the oils in the fridge will not damage them.

What is Omega 3, 6 and 9?

Answer.
Omega 3, 6 and 9 are groups of nutritionally important fatty acids found in oils.  Various types of oil contain these at different levels. All form an essential part of a balanced diet, and there are some claims that intake of some of these may be of particular benefit.

What makes Again and Again free from Cholesterol?

The natural composition of the vegetable oil used to make Again and Again is known to be free from cholesterol. Customers who are on a cholesterol reducing diet should follow the advice of their doctor, nurse or nutritionist concerning consumption of any oil or fat.
Question 16.
How do I know when to change the oil in my fryer?

Answer.
The time to change the oil is very much dependant upon what is being fried.  As a general guideline, some signs that indicate the oil may need changing are that the oil becomes very dark, the fried food begins to be more greasy, or if the oil begins to smoke excessively.
Question 17.
How much longer can I expect Again and Again to last compared to normal vegetable oil?

Answer.
Laboratory tests indicate that Again and Again lasts up to 25% longer than conventional vegetable oil.
Question 18.
Can I use Again and Again for anything other than deep fat frying?

Answer.
You can use Again and Again for Shallow frying, basting, roasting, sautèing and griddling.

What do I do with my Again and Again when I am finished with it?

Answer.
Do not pour oil down the sink. Allow the oil to cool and then either pour into the empty bottle or another suitable container. Then seal and dispose of through household waste.
